Art of Botany: 木下 宗道 MICHIKO SODO KINOSHITA
“I find the pleasure of sharing tranquility of mind, being in the present, and seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary.”
Botanical art is art whose goal is to depict whole plants or parts of plants in a manner that is both aesthetically pleasing and scientifically accurate.

The owner of Maboroshi Vineyard unexpectedly handed me the heavy wine barrel head and suggesting I use it as a canvas for my botanical painting. His remarkable sense of art always surprises me. Throughout the creation process, I was captivated by the brilliant blue color inspired from Earth. I hope the beauty and essence of this blue frequency resonates with you.
After applying several layers of epoxy coating, I finally completed the artwork, which now serves as the centerpiece for a tea table, accompanied by porcelain cups I made earlier.
毎日の日常の中に于由の光に満ちた心を見つけました。
その心の幸せを作品を通じて皆さんと分かち合えましたら嬉しいです。
